Mouna Guru-2011-Tamil movie Review
Director: Sandhakumar
Producer: Mu. Ka. Tamizharasu
Music Director: Thaman S
Lyricst: Vaali , Na.Muthukumar
Cast: Arulnidhi , Iniya
'Mouna Guru' - going by the name and posters of this film, comfortably a picture is created in the minds of avid film goer and the assumption will like to see the hero becoming a social icon who can change the society silently.
But the fact is completely upside down and the story is no match to either the title or the posters- it is different. I would even go to the extent that director has used the trick of dupe publicity in order to pull the attention of crowd. Then you can raise a question about film's successful performance. The reason is simple - director duped but did not disappoint.
Story deals about a lead actor who suffers at hands of dark minded people filled with ideas of selfishness. Starting from a group of policemen who desire for easy money, then extends to the principle of college who desires to hide stealing quality of his son from the society, later it is the doctor who is successful in framing the lead to be a mentally challenged person.
So the question remains about the way which hero finds to rein in on this mischievous elements, more than the hero it is his good luck in the film which saves him from clutches of fake encounters.
Film is a thrilling ride which has made the director proud for an enchanting screenplay. And the lead has been selected for the story which suits to his shape, size and behaviour.
It is three out of five from my side and big round of applause.
yenna idhu song rocks... :)
